The Unconstitutional Suspension of Bongo NPP Petitioners By The Regional Secretariat Shot Down By Party Elders And Patrons.

The Bongo NPP Party elders, Patrons, Former Constituency Executives, Current Constituency Executives, Constituency Disciplinary Committee and opinion leaders have nullified a purported indefinite suspension mated out to some eleven (11) polling Station executives who petitioned the reappointment of Ayinbisa Peter during the race to the District Chief Executive post.

It's quite notable that during the race for the DCEship, there were some group of polling Station executives who chastised and petitioned for the removal of Ayinbisa Peter from the nominees due to his inaccuracies, mismanagement and autocratic leadership style which they deemed were the cause of the NPP'S abysmal performance during the 2020 general elections.

The group opposed vehemently that the reappointment of Ayinbisa Peter will further drag the party to the least level and that is what they can't stand to watch. They listed a good number of Peter Ayinbisa's inaccuracies in their petition.

True to their petition, Peter Ayinbisa couldn't get his reappointment and that led to a lot of shake ups in the NPP fraternity in Bongo.

It's in the wake of Peter's lose that led to the suspension of the 11 polling Station executives who happened to be the headline petitioners, the regional Secretariat in a letter declared an indefinite suspension on the heads of these 11 party faithful branch executives who sacrificed a lot for the party in their various polling stations.

The regional secretariat instead of taking a thorough look at the petition and the autocratic leadership style of the Former DCE, rather choose to attribute the concerns of the party faithfuls to gross indiscipline and insubordination and eventually suspending them indefinitely.

It is therefore as a result of this unfortunate, unpatriotic, selfish and unconstitutional disciplinary action from the regional secretariat that angered the elders and constituency executives of the NPP fraternity in Bongo leading to their resistance and subsequent nullification of the suspension.

In a two(2) paged letter, the elders argued "petitioning against the reappointment of the then sitting DCE should not constitute an offense, and even if it does, there are disciplinary procedures that ought to be followed to give the group a fair hearing and so far we're not aware of any such hearing".

The elders and constituency executives again stated that the alleged offense of the group occured several months ago therefore suspending such a large number of polling Station executives on the eve of the party's polling station elections will send a signal that the main purpose is to deprive the group of contesting for positions of the party at the polling station level or to disenfranchise them all together.

They therefore concluded that, their main reason for the nullification of the regional secretariat decision is because they won't allow this unconstitutional act to bring further mistrust, strife and disunity in the Constituency and eventually negating their efforts at uniting the party.

The member of parliament for Bongo, Hon Edward Bawa who doubles as the parliamentary candidate for the NDC in the Bongo constituency has posted a write up on his Facebook wall where he sought to educate the DCE for Bongo Hon Peter Ayinbisa on the seating arrangements in the parliament house. It's interesting to note that the above mentioned DCE also doubles as the parliamentary candidate for the NPP and he has been referred by many as the desperate being in this year's politics who seek to win power at all cost using both fair and foul means .

A video circulating on social media has been sighted by Goldennewsgh which is purported to be a mini meeting organised by the member of parliament Hon Edward Bawa. In the video, the former DCE can be seen expressing his dissatisfaction on how the then speedy rate of development in the Bongo constituency under the then NDC government has come to a stand still.  He has pointed out how several projects in the Constituency has been abandoned by the NPP government.
