Bongo NDC Branch Women Organizers Threaten To Protest Over School Feeding ‘Neglect’ by DCE. Bongo, UER , 18th June, 2025. A group of branch women organizers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Bongo Constituency have issued a stern warning of an impending protest against the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Joseph Abaah Akasake, over what they describe as deliberate neglect and betrayal in the selection of caterers for the government’s school feeding programme. The aggrieved grassroots women organizers who claim to have sacrificed and remained loyal to the party through its difficult years in opposition, are outraged that their requests to be considered as caterers under the school feeding programme have been ignored. This, they allege, is despite earlier speculations and what they believed to be a directive from the National School Feeding Coordinator to prioritize party women organizers in the selection process.
