We won't accept this illegal suspension: It must follow due process as stipulated in the party constitution - Petitioners to Peter Ayinbisa.

An earlier report has it that, the NPP elders, Patrons and Constituency Executives have nullified a purported indefinite suspension by the NPP Upper East Regional Secretariat mated out to some eleven (11) polling Station executives who petitioned the reappointment of Ayinbisa Peter during the race to the DCEship.

The elders etc says "the suspension that has happened is void ab initio and does not require any court to declare it so. If the body with disciplinary powers took the decision and the affected members are dissatisfied then they could challenge that decision in court. This is a matter of jurisdiction and the constitution gives neither the constituency executives nor the Regional executives that power. The act is simply void and in law it is seen as haven't ever happened at all."

The Elders also added that In our customary or traditional setting when a family have dispute, the first point of conflict resolution is to go to sectional chief or divisional chief, if they bypass the divisional chief and go straight to paramount chief, the paramount chief will not sit on that case but refer them back to divisional chief he established at the local level to resolve disputes. So too the party constitution, why used crooked way to suspend them?

"The suspension is simply void and we assume that nothing has happened to the polling Station executives period," they reiterated.

It's on the wake of this brouhaha that the Former DCE in question Peter Ayinbisa opined and requested all and sundry of the party to accept the suspension in order for them to move on.

However, this statement from the former DCE didn't go well with the suspended polling station executives.

The suspended polling station executives therefore vehemently opposed and insisted on their stand of not accepting any suspension from the NPP Upper East Regional Secretariat unless due diligence and processes are carried out as stipulated by the Constitution of the New Patriotic Party.
